While the primary objective of the VHP revolves around learning and mastering Halacha, the program also provides an opportunity to pursue semicha. The inclusion of the semicha option aims to inspire and imbue the learning experience with an additional sense of purpose.

Semicha Requirements
Upon successful completion of your initial test and the semicha application form, we will thoroughly review both your test and the form. Following this assessment, we will schedule a video meeting to further acquaint ourselves with you. Following this, we will communicate whether you possibly meet all the requirements for pursuing semicha.
At the discretion of the VHP leadership, VHP students have the opportunity to receive Semicha by fulfilling the following requirements:
Complete the limud, shiurim and accompanying bechinos for all 22 sugyas covering Shabbos, Moadim and Brachos for Orach Chaim semicha. For Yoreh Deah semicha: complete the limmudim and bechinos of Basar Bechalav, Hechsher kelim, Tevilas Kelim, Nidah and Yichud.
Fulfill 80% of all possible points through the bechinos. One cannot miss more than 2 entire bechinos.
Successfully complete the periodic oral tests conducted by HaRav Ami Merzel, Shlita, occurring approximately once a year.
For Orach chaim: take all the bekiyus tests and respond correctly to an average of 70% or higher.
Michtav Kavod HaTorah Requirements
Complete the limud, shiurim and accompanying bechinos for one entire subject in bekius and Iyun. covering Shabbos, Moadim or Brachos.
Fulfill 80% of all possible points (Points on tests range from 40 to 100).
